PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a favorable tray mechanism and an optical recording drive that can simplify their configuration and reduce the dimensions while reducing costs. SOLUTION: The tray 10 has a main tray 12, an attaching fixture 14 secured on the front of the main tray 12, a tray lid 16 attached on the front of the main tray 12 through the attaching fixture 14, a cushion 18 on the lid 16, springs 19 disposed between the attaching fixture 14 and the tray lid 16, and a mounting screw 20. The shaft of the mounting screws 20 is inserted into the holes 1615 of the lid 16 and the connecting section 1604 and and screw holes 1906 of the spring 19, and the screw thread 2006 of the mounting screw 20 is fastened into the screw holes 1422 of the fixture 14. By this the lid 16 is secured on the attaching fixture 14 together with the springs 19 and the lid 16 is disposed free to turn around the shaft 2004 of the screw 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
