PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling torque of a compressor at the time of starting. SOLUTION: Before supplying electric power to the compressor 10, an amount of a refrigerant supplied to the compressor 10 is suppressed by a suction regulation valve 20, and solenoid valves 18, 19 are opened to bypass other banks 10-1, 10-3 such that the suction side and the discharge side are connected by only a bank 10-2. After the compressor 10 is supplied with the electric power and reaches an operation speed, the solenoid valves 18, 19 are closed to shut off the bypass of the banks 10-1, 10-3. The amount of the refrigerant supplied to the compressor 10 is increased by the suction regulation valve 20 with the suction side and the discharge side connected by all the banks 10-1, 10-2, 10-3.
