PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective method for producing diisobutene and a method for separating isobutene from a hydrocarbon mixture for the production of 1-butene. SOLUTION: This method for oligomerizing isobutene is provided by using an acidic ion exchange resin, in which a part of proton is exchanged with a metal ion, and having sulfonic group, in liquid phase. Also, the 4C hydrocarbon mixture is reacted by using the acidic ion exchange resin and then 1-butene is separated from the reaction products by distillation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
