PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a herbicide exhibiting remarkable controlling effect on weeds resistant to sulfonylurea herbicides in a paddy field and enabling the decrease in the number of active components in a mixed agent. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a compound of the formula [Q is a condensed heterocyclic group; X and Y are each independently a lower alkyl which may be substituted with a halogen, a lower alkoxy which may be substituted with a halogen, or the like], its salt, a herbicide containing the compound and remarkably effective against weeds resistant to the sulfonylurea herbicides, and a method for the control of the weeds resistant to the sulfonylurea herbicides by using the herbicide of this invention.
