PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain II type crystal modification of 1, 3, 5-tris(4-tert-butyl-3-hydroxy-2, 6-di-methylbenzyl)-1, 3, 5-triazine-2, 4, 6-(1H, 3H, 5H)-trione readily handleable in workability, or the like, in use, slightly making a dust, to provide a method producing the same, to obtain an antioxidant using the same, a resin composition containing the antioxidant and its molding. SOLUTION: The crystal modification (II type crystal modification) of 1, 3, 5-tris(4-tert-butyl-3-hydroxy-2, 6-di-methylbenzyl)-1, 3, 5-triazine-2, 4, 6-(1H, 3H, 5H)-trione being a compound represented by formula (1) is an amorphous substance exhibiting no sharp diffraction peak but a halo by powder X-ray diffraction analysis with Cu-KαX-ray.
