PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step which can be housed without damaging the shape of appearance of furniture itself such as a kitchen counter, a cupboard, a document housing rack. SOLUTION: The step 9 for the furniture is provided with a step housing part 10 in an unoccupied space between the upper and lower drawers 5 and 6 of the furniture body. In the housing part 10, a step board 7 and legs 8 fitted foldably with respect to the step board 7 are housed in a state where they can freely be put in and out. When using the step 9, the legs 8 is stood to keep the step board 7 in a nearly horizontal state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
