There are provided an inventory management method, system, and program for effectively reducing the inventory amount. The inventory management method includes: a threshold value setting step for selecting an order acceptance lot whose delivery is set between "b" days before a reference time and "a" days after the reference time among order acceptance lots and setting a threshold value x + ysigma1 from the average quantity x of the order acceptance lots selected and a standard deviation sigma1; a classification step for classifying the order acceptance lot selected as a normal order lot if the order acceptance lot has a quantity alpha equal to or below the threshold value; and a reference inventory calculation step for calculating a reference inventory by a predetermined calculation equation according to the classified normal order acceptance lot.
