The flipper has a fin plate (1) and a foot plate (2) of carbon-fibre reinforced plastics with rubber layer and two arms to hold different sized fins. The foot plate (2) has a U or V-shaped geometry to transfer positive bending and torsional properties to the foot plate. The rubber layer (3) guards against friction on the plate. The foot plate is designed to fit into a rubber foot shoe.
