The safety strap comprises a connecting line (1) held by a holder (5) attached to the leg strap (6) so that the connecting line can be easily drawn out from the holder and re-housed therein. The holder can comprise one or more tapes with touch and close fastener and/or press-studs, and/or elastic bands or a small re-closable bag. The connection with the leg strap can be released through increased force action and has an ideal break point (2) attached close on the ski.
