The system uses the magnetic field of the permanent magnets of the secondary part of the linear motor to obtain sinusoidal signals. A sensor head is attached at the required axial distance from the magnet system of the motor. The sensor consists of two magnetic sensors magnetically displaced by 90 degrees that provide two signals electrically displaced by 90 degrees.
