CONTENTS RECORDING METHOD AND DISTRIBUTING METHOD, COMMODITY USED FOR RECORDING CONTENTS, DEVICE FOR WRITING CONTENTS INTO RECORDING MEDIUM AND SYSTEM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for recording contents distributed via a network into a recording medium, a technique for facilitating the recording, a technique for attaching added values to the contents distributed via the network, a technique for safely distributing the contents, a technique for preventing unauthorized use of the contents, a technique for communicating the contents at low cost, a technique for communicating the contents according to user needs, a technique for facilitating distribution management of the contents, and a technique for managing copyright royalty per content.

SOLUTION: A user buys a package 50 including an exclusive recording medium 52 that can be used in a contents system 10. The user fixes the recording medium 52 to a contents writing device 100 and requests writing of desired contents. When the recording medium 52 is an exclusive medium, the contents writing device 100 acquires the contents specified by the user from a contents management device 200 and writes the contents into the recording medium 52. Since an advance payment is set in the recording medium 52, operations such as inputting credit card numbers are not needed when writing the contents. Thus, the user can easily acquire the contents via the network.
