<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly decelerate a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This travel control method includes a step (S106) for calculating the decelerating force acting before the start of fuel cut, when a condition to start the fuel cut is satisfied (YES in S104), a step (S108) for calculating the deceleration force acting after the start of the fuel cut, a step (S110) for starting the fuel cut and a step (S112) for reducing the load by an oil pump, and further includes a step (S124) for calculating the decelerating force acting before the termination of the fuel cut when a condition to terminate the fuel cut is satisfied (YES in S122), a step (S126) for calculating the decelerating force acting after the termination of the fuel cut, a step (S128) for terminating the fuel cut, and a step (S130) for increasing the load by the oil pump. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
