PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device equipped with a needle electrode which can be assembled/disassembled for maintenance and cleaning without anxiety. SOLUTION: The ion generating device 1 is provided with a cylindrical electrode 6, and a needle electrode 5 arranged coaxially at the backside of the cylindrical electrode. The needle electrode 5 is covered and surrounded by a needle electrode cover 9 of a cylindrical shape. Therefore, a needle-point part 5b of the needle electrode 5, hitherto exposed, is not exposed when the cylindrical electrode 6 is removed for cleaning, since it is covered with the needle electrode cover 9, so that a finger tip will not come in touch with it for possible injury.
