PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually-operated tool having simple mechanism for crimping or cutting, which can be operated by light holding force. SOLUTION: The manually-operated tool has each of operating handles forming a pair, which is a coupled member made by coupling link handles 2 and 2 forming a pair with crank handles 1 and 1 forming a pair, and coupling plates 14 and 14 via a coupling plate rotating shaft 3, which are coupled with the rink handles 2 and 2 via pivot-axis members 4 and 4 attached to a pivot-axis member coupling plate 6 and with the crank handle 1 and 1 via coupling plate rotating shafts 13 and 13 at positions down crankshafts 12 and 12 of the crank handles 1 and 1. Mutual rotations among the coupling plate 14, the crank handles 1 and the link handles 2 can be made freely via the coupling plate rotating shafts 13 and 13 which enables an operator to open or close the operating handles. The operating handles are urged to rotate circumferentially in their closing direction via the coupling plate rotating shaft 3 and via the crankshafts 12 and 12 opening the link handles 2 and 2, when the crank handles 1 and 1 are opened following the link handles 2 and 2.
