PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small disk cartridge which is excellent in the assembling and disassembling and assembled without causing a dust which contaminates the assembling environment or adversely affects the read/write of data. SOLUTION: A columnar projected part 28 is formed integrally with and also perpendicularly to a resin made lower shell 24. A boss 38 whereon a stepped part 26 and a hole 36 are provided, is arranged in an upper shell 23. The outline shape of the boss 38 is formed to be a column concentric with the hole 36. The diameter of a tip part, i.e. a head part 34 of the columnar projected part 28 is enlarged and the head part is like a disk in shape. In assembling, when the columnar projected part 28 is inserted through the hole 36 to combine the upper/lower shells 23, 24, the head part 34 of the columnar projected part 28 is protruded from the stepped part 26. Then, an E-ring (restraining tool) 40 is restrained on a columnar part 42 between a lower end 34a of the head part 34 and the stepped part 26, and the columnar projected part 28 is prevented from falling off.
