PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the transmission of heat from an image sensor to other optical components in an integrated reading optical system. SOLUTION: When a reflection mirror is arranged in the front or back of an image forming lens so that a beam is reflected to the vertically upper direction of a scanning unit, an image sensor such as a CCD is arranged on a position upper than the reflection mirror and an image forming lens.
