PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which surely stores and protects a lens barrel. SOLUTION: When an abnormality detection sensor 62 detects storage abnormality, an abnormality detection signal is outputted from the abnormality detection sensor 62 to a control part 60. When the abnormality detection signal is inputted, the control part 60 outputs an operation signal to a plunger 40, and the plunger 40 receiving the operation signal is operated. Thus, a shaft transfer plate 42 energized in an X-direction by a coil spring 46 at regular time turns to a Y direction against energizing force with a stationary shaft 44 as a center, and it moves to a separation position 42B. When the shaft transfer plate 42 is moved to the separation position 42A, a gear shaft 34 and a gear 33 also turn to the Y direction with the shaft transfer plate 42. The gear 33 moves to a release position 33B and the gear 33 is detached from a gear cylinder 24. The lens barrel 14 is detached from a driving motor 30 and it can freely rotate.
