PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable and weight-reducible hydrogen gas sensor dispensing with a high temperature to be applied to a sensitive part, and capable of preventing deterioration of a diaphragm or an electrolytic solution by dispensing with them, when measuring a hydrogen concentration in a gas phase or a liquid phase. SOLUTION: This hydrogen sensor 1 for measuring the hydrogen concentration in the gas phase 17 is equipped with the sensitive part 2 generating an electric resistance change by being brought into contact with the gas phase 17 containing hydrogen, and the sensitive part 2 is formed from a hydrogen absorbing element metal or alloy. This hydrogen sensor 1 for measuring the dissolved hydrogen concentration in the liquid phase 18 is equipped with the sensitive part 2 generating an electric resistance change by being brought into contact with the liquid phase 18 wherein hydrogen is dissolved, and the sensitive part 2 is formed from a material selected from a nano-carbon material, the hydrogen absorbing element metal and the hydrogen absorbing alloy.
