PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cutting continuous packaging body of high productivity for reducing the amount of defective bags. SOLUTION: The number of packaging bags FP before a seam S reaches the cutting position A is calculated based on the length from the arrangement position C of a seam detecting means 11 to detect the seam S of a continuous packaging body F to the cutting position A of a cutting mechanism 2 and the pitch of each packaging bag in the continuous packaging body F. The feed speed of the continuous packaging body F is reduced before the feed number (the count value K) of the packaging bags FP to be fed after calculating the packaging bags FP before the seam S reaches the cutting position A and detecting the seam S by the seam detecting means 11 reaches the calculated number.
