A button comprises a head 3 and a shank 1 with an enlargement at one end fitting in an opening in the button head and at the other end a point for piercing fabric 7, the button being secured by a ring 8 selectively fitting in one of a series of grooves 9 and 10 on the shank, the pointed end of the shank being cut off. The head may be integral with the shank. The button may be secured by a clip with legs gripping the shank which has a continuously smooth surface. |
