PROCESS FOR PRODUCING HYPERTHERMOSTABLE ENDOGLUCANASE

A process for producing a hyperthermostable endoglucanase originating in an archaebacterium characterized by comprising culturing a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus which has a gene expression vector carrying a nucleic acid sequence encoding an endoglucanase originating in an hyperthermostable archaebacterium and having 1 to 20 amino acids added to the amino-terminus (N-terminus) and being attached to the downstream of a DNA sequence encoding a signal peptide region originating in Bacillus brevis, and thus making the bacterium to produce and secret the endoglucanase.
