The mobile telephone (2) has BT (Bit Transmission) and SMS (Storage Management Subsystem) functions or MMS (Medium Management Subsystem) functionality and incorporates a miniature TV camera. A further camera with BT may be mounted in a pair of spectacles (1) and transmits picture signals to the mobile telephone. The mobile telephone transmits picture signals to a cell station incorporating a position and navigation server (3). This is connected to a picture data bank (4) to enable the picture from the camera to be recognized.
