An overhead current pick-up for an electrically driven vehicle comprises a frame (3), arm (4-7) and a slider (11) with the frame moving under the influence of a lift drive (18) producing a contact force. The slider comprises a piezoelectric fiber and a sensor (21) integrated with the lift drive in a closed evaluation and control circuit (22,23).
