<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make rapidly performable a density adjusting processing for forming an image of appropriate image density and density gradation at a plurality of image forming speeds. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of performing a density range adjusting processing for adjusting the image forming condition of an image forming part based on the density detection result of a visible image formed by the image forming part by using exposing/scanning data related to the maximum density and a gradation correcting processing of correcting the exposing/scanning data related to several density gradations used by the image forming part based on the density detection result of the visible image related to several density gradations formed by the image forming part by using the exposing/scanning data related to several density gradations, the density range adjusting processing is performed at a reference image forming speed, and the gradation correcting processing is performed at the plurality of image forming speeds, and also, the condition of forming the image at another image forming speed is obtained by correcting the adjusted image forming condition obtained at the reference image forming speed through an arithmetic processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
