<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer that hardly causes creeping discharge and is excellent in durability. <P>SOLUTION: This piezoelectric transformer 1 has a structure in which an input-side piezoelectric element 2 and an output-side piezoelectric element 3 are laminated upon another through an insulating board 4. The element 2 is constituted to have input electrodes 12a and 12b on front and rear surfaces of a piezoelectric ceramic board 11, and the element 3 is constituted to have an output electrode 14a and 14b respectively at the central part and both end faces in the lengthwise direction. The insulating board 4 has projecting sections 16 protruded outward on its side faces near the output electrode 14a of the element 3. When this transformer 1 is driven, a high potential difference occurs between the output electrode 14a and input electrode 12a, but the projecting sections 16 prevent the occurrence of creeping discharge between the electrodes 14a and 12a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
