<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for electric power steering in which a rotation position sensor is not exposed from a housing with no position adjusting mechanism required. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor 8 drives a shaft 24 supported by a housing 3 and a frame 5 combined to the housing. A stator 4 is arranged to face the rotor. The shaft 24 is provided with a motor 1 connected to a steering mechanism of a vehicle, a control means 42 that drives/controls the motor 1, rotation position sensors 27 and 31 that detect rotational position of the rotor, and a correcting means 46 for electrically correcting the fitting position of the rotation position sensors.
