PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good shape without generating an uneven, regularly inclined defective shape (cross buckle) especially on a metallic strip after rolling when the metallic strip is cold-rolled. SOLUTION: Not less than 1/4 of the deformation resistance is imparted as tension per unit cross section which is the total tension on the outlet side of a rolling mill divided by the thickness and the width of the metallic strip, and draft is made to be >6.5%.
