PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling images recorded on a recording medium further in details just like controlling a bookmark image with its specific images about moving pictures on a recording medium, and also provide a data display method, a recording and reproducing device, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: It records the bookmark data about its recorded position on a recording medium together with the feature information about the feature image data contained in the bookmark data on a recording medium.
