PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectifying circuit for converting an AC into a DC while AC input current is controlled at a high power factor. SOLUTION: A diode series circuit in which two diodes 2, 3 are connected in series, a capacitor series circuit in which two capacitors 4, 5 are connected in series, and a switching arm series circuit having switching elements 6, 7 in which diodes 8, 9 are connected in anti-parallel or two switching arms are connected in series by connecting capacitors 10, 11, in parallel with the switching elements having reverse energizing functions, are connected in parallel. One end of an AC power source is connected to an internal connection point of the diode series circuit, the other end of the AC power source 1 is connected to an internal connecting point of the capacitor series circuit, and a reactor 12 is connected between the internal connection point of the switching arm series circuit and the internal connecting point of the capacitor series circuit.
