PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for an electro-optical device, which is equipped with a clock signal phase difference correcting circuit without increasing the layout area of the driving circuit while surely eliminating a phase difference between a clock signal and an opposite phase clock signal. SOLUTION: The clock signal phase difference correcting circuit 500 is composed of a first buffer circuit, a bistable circuit and a second buffer circuit, with the second buffer circuit connected to the output section of the bistable circuit. At least an external clock signal input section is connected to a data line driving circuit 101 or a scanning line driving circuit 104 through the clock signal phase difference correcting circuit 500.
