PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting mirror unit, a scanning optical device and an image forming device in which scanning line beginning displacement is hardly generated. SOLUTION: Shapes of a detecting mirror holding part 13 are planes roughly vertical to the surface of a detecting mirror 100 and also are planes roughly vertical to the scanning plane of a beam in the scanning optical device and also are roughly symmetrical with a plane passing through about the center of the detecting mirror 100.
