PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hat having a size automatically adjustable according to the size of the head. SOLUTION: The hat has constitution that the hat is provided with a crown to be worn on the head by embossing a material to maintain a shape and a brim projecting from the open periphery of the crown, both the ends of an elastic sweatband are connected to the inside of the open periphery of the crown and suspended in a free state in the inside of the crown, the elastic sweatband is expanded and contracted according to the head diameter and the elastic sweatband is automatically fitted to the back of the head. Both the ends of the elastic sweatband are sewed to the opposing positions of both the right and left side parts of the crown. When the size of the periphery of the crown from both fitting positions of the elastic sweatband to the forehead is size A and the size of the periphery of the crown to the back of the head is size B, A:B is set 1:1-3:1.
