PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an agonist antibody to cell surface molecules and an inhibitory antibody concerning the cell proliferation, differentiation or activation. SOLUTION: The method for producing the agonist antibody to the cell surface molecules comprises the following 4 steps: step 1 where a plurality of immune cells that express one antibody or more then one antibodies to the surface molecules are produced by immunizing an animal with cells having the surface molecules; step 2 where a library is formed from the plurality of immune cells including a nucleic acid sequence that encodes the antibody; step 3 where the antibody is displayed on the surface by cloning the nucleic acid sequence from the library on a surface display vector, and step 4 where the antibodies displayed on the surface by using the target cells are screened whereby the antibody as the agonist antibody concerning the cell surface molecule is identified and the agonist antibody is synthesized.
