PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken image formation when a multicolor image is formed by superposing a plurality of images on an image forming body while enhancing color reproducibility by sustaining a sufficient quantity of exposing light, and to obtain a high image quality where moire is inconspicuous while prolonging the lifetime of developer by preventing color mixing in an developing unit. SOLUTION: Screen angle of both magenta (M) and black (BK) being formed on a first photosensitive drum 11 is set at 0°and their dots are shifted. Screen angle of both yellow (Y) and cyan (C) being formed on a second photosensitive drum 21 is set at 15°and their dots are shifted. Two color toner images on the photosensitive drums 11 and 21 are superposed on a sheet P through intermediate transfer rollers 30 and 31 thus obtaining a full color toner image of four colors.
