PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool to adjust a device to form a slit in desired depth on a wire and an adjustment method. SOLUTION: A body 52 of the tool 50 is integrally mounted on a head 112. A movable table 54 is made contact with a tool head end 12 and a cutter head end 22 by energizing force of a spring 58. Consequently, zero point matching of a dial gauge 56 is done by matching relative height of both of them with an offset distance e<SB>o</SB>of the movable table 54. Thereafter, the movable table 54 is pushed down by a tool 10 by moving a stopper 122 downward. At this time, displacement from the zero point of the movable table 54 is measured by the dial gage 56. The relative height is adjusted by adjusting the position of the stopper 122 so that the displacement comes to be the previously specified target value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
