PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broiler capable of reducing time to prepare a cooked object. SOLUTION: The broiler has a rack 17 for mounting the cooked object inside a broiler compartment 11. The broiler also has open/close state detecting means 20 and 21 for detecting the open/close state of a door part 19 of the broiler compartment 11, a heating means 3 capable of adjusting the heating quantity for heating the cooked object, a heating quantity command means for commanding the heating quantity of the heating means 3, and a control means for controlling the operation of the heating means 3. The control means adjusts the heating quantity of the heating means based on the command information by the heating quantity command means while the heating means 3 is operated, and executes the heating quantity increasing operation to adjust the heating quantity of the heating means 3 to increase the heating quantity larger than the quantity at the time if the open state is detected by the open/close state detecting means 20 and 21 while the heating means 3 is operated.
