PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slimmed rod clamp having reduced weight while securing the integrity of a fishing rod and a reel body and flexibly coping with change of the diameter of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: The rod clamp 1 is provided with a rod-holding part 5 having a rod-holding face 6 and a fixing part 7 fixed to both ends of the rod holding part 5 and detachably attached to the reel body 3. The rod holding part 5 is an elastic plate made of a metal such as stainless steel and has the rod holding face 6 to hold the fishing rod between the holding face and a rod attaching leg. The rod holding face 6 has a circular curved face deformable to come into close contact with the outer contour of the fishing rod. The fixing part 7 is fixed to the rod holding part 5 by inserting the holding part 5 into a mold in the forming of the fixing part 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
