The light-mixing layer (61) has light-scattering particles (64) for the scattering light, emitted from light source. Phosphor particles (65) for converting a portion of originating light into another wavelength light and diffuser particles (66) for mixing light from the light-scattering particles and phosphor particles. The particles are arranged in a particle-interlaced order. The light-scattering particles can be selected from quartz, glass or other polymeric transparent materials. The light-mixing layer comprising light scattering, phosphor and diffuser particles are made by a process of printing, dispersing, SPIN, evaporation, inertial force, pressure, condensation, cladding or sputtering.
