摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication unit for coupling an optical transmission line for transmitting a multiple wavelength signal and a terminal, its optical element for optical communications, its manufacturing method and an optical communication system for a house, a small-scale office, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This optical communication unit 10 is provided with an optical transmitting part 12 connectable to an external optical transmission line, the optical element 11 arranged so as to receive and emit light from/to the optical transmitting part and having a dispersing function, a light receiving element 14 for receiving light dispersed by the optical element at a light receiving position corresponding to its wavelength and performing photoelectric conversion, and a light emitting element for emitting light to the optical element from one of a plurality of light emitting positions on the basis of an electrical signal from the outside. The multiple wavelength signal transmitted for the external optical transmission line is divided in wavelength by the optical element, received at the light receiving position and taken out as an electrical signal.
