<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which copes with the various kinds of requirements of a user without forcing the user into specific demerits such as the lowering of productivity, the deterioration of developer, toner scattering and fogging by obtaining uniform density even in forming an image whose image ratio is high. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus having a photoreceptive drum 3 and a developing device 1 to perform development by supplying an electrostatic image formed on the photoreceptive drum 3 with developer 19 incorporating toner and carrier, a first uniformity improvement mode (first mode) to change a toner quantity supplied to the electrostatic image on the photoreceptive drum 3 by increasing intervals between the electrostatic images formed on the photoreceptive drum 3 and a second uniformity improvement mode (second mode) to change the toner quantity supplied to the electrostatic image on the photoreceptive drum 3 by increasing a toner supply quantity by the developing device 1 are selectively performed in successively forming several images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
