<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opening and closing device having an insertion detection mechanism for surely performing the insertion detection of an foreign matter even if there is a structure with a corner having a small radius of curvature in the outer circumferential edge of a mobile body or the inner circumferential edge of a gate. <P>SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 62 for detecting an external force from the direction crossing in relation to the longitudinal direction is provided to the outer circumference of a back door 20. However, the pressure sensor 62 is largely curved and provided to a corner 110 of the lower end or the like of a door side 28 so that it can bypass the corner 110. Instead of it, a pressure sensor 120 having a pair of electrode sheets opposed to each other along the corner 110 is provided, and when at least either one of the pressure sensor 62 and the pressure sensor 120 detects an external force, the back door 20 is opened and moved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
