<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device capable of saving energy by operating the device without relying upon hydraulic pressure. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply to an input disk 17 is performed by the electric motor 2 of an actuator so that the engagement of friction pads 23 and 24 can be performed without using a hydraulic pressure source. Though the actuator supplies power to the input disk 17 by specific features, it inhibits the transmission of power from the input disk 17. Accordingly, the actuator can interrupt the supply of electric power to the electric motor 2 while maintaining the engagement of the friction pads 23 and 24 to save energy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
