<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health support device that evaluates the level of a user's number of steps counted by the device, and gives him/her proper advices about changes in the number of counted steps, thus contributing to him/her for maintaining and promoting his/her health. <P>SOLUTION: This device evaluates the level of number of steps of a user during a recent certain period, and is provided with an evaluating means selection means 5 that can be used properly between a first evaluating means 3 giving the user advices about the level of number of steps and a second evaluating means 4 comparing between the average number of steps up to a past time point and the average number of steps since that time point to obtain its changes, and giving him/her broader advices about the level of number of steps, including its changes. The data of the user's number of steps are transmitted to a server via an information terminal, and the server can back up the data, update advice texts and even change the evaluation methods according to circumstances, thus assisting the user with the health support of a higher quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
