PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and simple automatic transmission for front wheel drive having forward six gear shift patterns and reverse one gear shift pattern capable of providing proper gear ratios by using a highly efficient planetary gear train. SOLUTION: An input shaft 100, a transfer shaft 200, and an output shaft 300 are positioned parallel with each other. The input shaft and transfer shaft are connected to each other through counter gear trains 1, 2, and 3 forming first, second, and third power transmission routes. Clutches C2 and C3 disconnecting and connecting the second and third power transmission routes and a brake B2 for braking are disposed on the input shaft, and a clutch C1, a brake B1, a one-way clutch 232, and planetary gear trains 20 and 30 are disposed on the transfer shaft. The first power transmission route is connected to a ring gear 23, the second power transmission route is connected to sun gears 21 and 31 and the third power transmission route is connected to a planetary carrier 34. The planetary carrier 24 and the ring gear 33 are connected to the transfer shaft, and the transfer shaft and the output shaft are connected to a fourth counter gear train. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
