PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device controlling method capable of performing control beyond a bus, including the existing IEEE1394 device by using an AV/C command in the case of connecting networks configured by IEEE1394 buses by a different network. SOLUTION: A virtual node is constructed on a different communication terminal in an environment in which the networks configured by the IEEE1394 buses are connected by the different network, and an actual node is controlled by transmitting and receiving a command to/from the virtual node. An FCP frame is used in communications between the networks, and communication traffic between the networks is reduced by transmitting and receiving an AV/C command and a response in the FCP frame.
