PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning frame enabling a twist yarn to be easily produced from a sliver even by an individual. SOLUTION: The spinning frame has the following construction and mechanism: Left and right frames 6 and 7 are set upright on a platform, and between the frames 6 and 7, front rollers 41 and 42 and back rollers 51 and 52 are located a specified distance apart from each other, serving as a draft unit 4. A sliver as feedstock is drawn between the two kinds of rollers by making the feed speed from the front rollers 41 and 42 greater than that from the back rollers 51 and 52. Downstream of the front rollers 41 and 42, a twisting unit 5 consisting of a flyer mechanism is disposed. There is provided an operating drive 3 enabling the draft unit 4 and the flyer 82 to be turned synchronously, and the sliver drafted at the draft unit 4 is wound around a bobbin 90 under twisting at the twisting unit 5 by operating the drive 3, thus producing the objective twist yarn.
