PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely, maximumly and effectively utilize converter wet dust at high yield regardless of the charging method of this dust into the converter with which the loss caused by scatter etc., of the wet dust is minimized without disturbing the operational process of the converter. SOLUTION: The converter wet dust which beforehand dries so that moisture content becomes 0.1-5%, and has≥200μthe average grain diameter, is charged into the converter under condition of adjusting this dust charging amount according to this moisture content, and, the converter operation is performed while restraining the amount of exhaust gas at the dust charging time to≤0.3 m/sec empty tower velocity.
