PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain simplification of structure, simplification of a control program, miniaturization, cost reduction, etc. of a device to insert a piston pin into insertion holes of a piston and a connecting rod. SOLUTION: An interlocking mechanism constituted of a single driving source 103, a first rack member 104, a pinion 105, a slider 107 to hold the pinion 105 and a push-in shaft 106 and a second rack member 108 to hold a guide shaft 109 is adopted as a driving mechanism on the device to insert the piston pin into the insertion hole by holding both ends of the piston pin S with the guide shaft 109 and the push-in shaft 106 after centering by passing the guide shaft 109 through the insertion holes P1, R1 of the piston and the connecting rod.
