PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat square wire manufacturing apparatus which can prevent meandering of an incoming wire material and manufacture the flat square wire with a highly precise dimensional accuracy. SOLUTION: The flat square wire production apparatus manufactures the flat square wire N by rolling, while feeding a wire material M to a rolling point A between a pair of rolls R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>. The apparatus comprises a feeding means 1 which sends out the wire material M so that the wire material M comes to contact to an upstream side of the rolling point A on the outer peripheral surface of one roll R<SB>1</SB>among a pair of rolls R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>, and an incoming wire guiding means 2 which prevents meandering of the wire material M contacting to the outer peripheral surface of the roll R<SB>1</SB>.
