PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid separating tank constituted so that the interface position of a mixture of liquids having different specific gravitys can be changed, adjusted and controlled. SOLUTION: The height of the highest position of a heavy liquid in the liquid separating tank is made changeable by arranging a detachable short pipe connection member or a length-variable piping member on a heavy liquid discharging pipeline.
